Youth Theater Japan will continue to leverage our practical knowledge of theatre education and our domestic and overseas network connections to contribute to our society.

Winter

Our members sing over 30 English songs a year.

The National Singing Competition for English Songs (co-sponsored by the Asahi Student Newspaper) aims to provide a space for young people to express their originality. The judging process is carried out through strict screening by music professionals as well as including an element of popular vote. In this project, children and youth praise sing each other's performances while expanding their horizons through English songs. We use this competition to foster skills that enable young people to take their first steps into an international world.

Spring

20,000 Dancers. One competition.

Over the years, 20,000 participants have participated in what is now Japan's largest dance competition. Every spring, young people from all over the country express their passion for dance, come into contact with different genres, and face each other in friendly competition. This is the chance to see the result of your daily efforts: not only your perfected dance skills, but also your team unity and dynamism. Choreography for the contest is part of the regular lesson curriculum. *Elementary school age and up can participate
